z-scores at a glance values are sums of z-scores; the curve shows how draftable players spread out
| Value | Sum of the 9 category z-scores: how far above the average draftable player he is, in standard deviations. 0 is an average pick; the basis (delivered, per game, totals) is set above the table |
| Delivered | Delivered value: per-game value times the share of games he is projected to play, with missed games filled by a waiver-level player. What a head-to-head team actually gets. The default |
| Per game | Per-game value: how good he is on the nights he plays, ignoring missed games |
| Season totals | Season-total value: per-game line times projected games, so missed games count as zeros |
| Rank | Order by value on the chosen basis (1 = best) |
| ADP | Average draft position in public drafts (the market). Lower = drafted earlier. A big gap to our rank means we and the market disagree |
| z-score | z-score: (player stat minus the average of draftable players) divided by their spread. +1 is one standard deviation better than average, about the top sixth; -1 about the bottom sixth. FG% and FT% are weighted by attempts |
| xCats | xCats: the categories a team is expected to win in a week against a typical opponent (out of 9). League average is 4.5. A trade or pickup worth +0.10 xCats wins about one more category every ten weeks |
| GP | Games played: projected games this season (of 82) |
| MPG | Minutes per game, projected |
| Fit | Fit: value re-weighted toward the categories where your team is close to the teams around it |
| GB | Games back of the leader, in category results: each category each week is one game |
| Tier | Teams within 3 percent of each other in a category (0.003 for FG% and FT%): ranks inside a tier are close to a coin flip |
